How do I install DavkaWriter add-ons in DavkaWriter for Mac?

The following DavkaWriter accessories can be used with DavkaWriter 7 for Mac:

• Davka Transliterated Machzor
• Davka Transliterated Siddur
• Davka Transliterated Tehillim (Psalms)
• DavkaWriter Dimensions II
• Hebrew Font Gallery Deluxe
• Master Teacher Professional for DavkaWriter
• Signature Hebrew Font Collection

To install any product other than the Transliterated series, go to the DavkaWriter Mac menu at the top of your DavkaWriter screen and choose Install DavkaWriter Extension. Navigate to your installation disk (if you have purchased a disk version) or the downloaded, extracted folder (if you have purchased a download version) and locate the “Setup.exe” file. Double-click that and it will launch the installation for your add-on product.

You will need to exit and restart DavkaWriter for the add-on product to be available.

Transliterated products are provided as document files only that do not need to be installed. They can be opened in DavkaWriter using the File -> Open command.

I bought DavkaWriter by download and was advised by Davka to make a backup. How do I do that?

If you are using Windows, go to the location where the DavkaWriter ZIP file is saved. This file will likely be in your Downloads or My Documents folder, unless you have chosen to save it elsewhere.

Select this file and drag it to any form of external media you use for your backups (like a recordable CD or an SD card), or upload it to a cloud drive of your choice (like Dropbox or Google Drive.)

If you are using a Mac, go to your Downloads and locate the DavkaWriter ZIP file. There likely will be a ZIP file and a folder containing an .app file. You only need the Zip file. Drag that file to any form of external media you use for your backups (like a recordable CD or an SD card), or upload it to a cloud drive of your choice (like Dropbox or Google Drive.)
